Navy FLIR UAP Video
In 2017, a leaked video from the U.S. Navy, commonly referred to as the “FLIR UAP” video, ignited widespread debate about unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP). The footage, recorded by an advanced infrared targeting system aboard a Navy aircraft, showcases a fast-moving object with no visible wings or propulsion system.
The video, later confirmed as authentic by the Pentagon, was one of three released to the public, highlighting encounters between U.S. military pilots and unexplained flying objects. The FLIR (Forward-Looking Infrared) footage, captured by an F/A-18 Super Hornet, depicts an oval-shaped object hovering and then accelerating rapidly, defying conventional aerodynamics.
Theories about the object’s origin range from classified military technology to extraterrestrial visitors. Skeptics suggest sensor anomalies or misidentified conventional aircraft, but pilots who witnessed the event claim the object’s movement was unlike anything they had seen before.
In 2020, the Department of Defense formally acknowledged the videos, stating they remained unexplained. This admission marked a shift in government transparency regarding UAPs, leading to increased congressional inquiries and new military protocols for reporting such encounters.
While the true nature of the object remains unknown, the Navy FLIR UAP video stands as a compelling piece of evidence that challenges our understanding of aerial phenomena.
